Last night was Dover’s third dodgeball tournament, hosted by Dover’s Student Council. Despite some chaos, it was successful. It was fun to watch, and the bleachers were full of spectators. Photos are public on facebook.
I always seem to have problems, though.
Last year, many people could not hear the music that the Master of Ceremonies played. I set out, with the lessons I learned from Pepcoming, to make sure that wouldn’t happen again. Of course, the Student Council’s audio equipment (amp and sound board) was borrowed earlier that day, and never put back. That wouldn’t have been a problem if the middle school band teacher who borrowed it had told me he used it. What a concept!
Nothing is more bothersome than someone who thinks he or she can do whatever he or she pleases.
Luckily, I managed to wire together a podium and some speakers, and the tournament had its music. Lesson?
Don’t borrow things without asking.
*shakes head*
Kim, Dover will always be Dover.
Music teachers tend to do things like that…
I’m pretty sure I know which teacher you’re talking about, and he happens to be evil in a lot of ways. This seems typical of something he would do.
Michael, it’s not fair to say that music teachers ‘tend’ to do things like this. That’s stereotyping.
Christine, indeed. This isn’t the first time something like this has happened, and it won’t be the last.
*cough* shouldn’t certain hot dog cookers be mentioned, since,, without their fine service we would be nowhere in life?
Maia, no. This was filed under R for ‘rant’. If I was giving praises, I would certainly have mentioned my hot dog friends.
Wait until Tuesday.
