This is getting intense. The Village Vipers are simply a band put together to pass the time. The members are in no way serious about what they say and do not expect to be a life-changing band that will make an impact on anyone.

That being said, Michael, drink some tea and calm down, you take life WAY to seriously. And I just don’t like you.

As a side note, “namecalling” would be more like “assface”. Asshole is more of description.

I think you should lighten up, because this guy just wanted to post his friend’s funny music on a blog. I don’t believe this to be a Pitchfork review knitting circle.

Even if you were supposedly “qualified”, a legitimate artist wouldn’t be picking on a bunch of NYU freshmen.

‘On the contrary Michael, The Village Vipers may be one of the most ironic and culturally significant musical acts of our time.’ -I doubt it. I had not heard of them until now, and I seriously doubt many others outside NYU have. I’ll ask around. ‘Cultural significance,’ in my mind, equals recognizability.

‘They definitely deserve to get recognized and praised.’ – That is a subjective statement.

‘Also, are you really qualified to be judging other people’s singing abilities?’ – Yes.

Well, honestly, aren’t there more important goings-on at NYU that we should be talking about? (Like the TBNYU protest and the University’s reaction?)

As for the song, it’s mildly entertaining and somewhat creative, but the lyrics were too repetitive, the singing was mediocre, and the musical score… *shudder*. 4 piano notes and a stereotypical R&B rhythm aren’t very memorable.
