Thoughts on Web Advertising

I came across an interesting story the other day, linking to this site. It’s a site to send viewers who use Firefox and Mozilla-based browsers to because they have the ability to block web advertising with an extension. That’s absolutely ridiculous. Blocking any of your viewers from reading your site only harms you, even if they can’t see your advertising. Apparently another medication I’m taking suppresses my body’s ability to heal, so I’m unable to have my inflamed mouth operated on for four or months or more. Great! Fortunately, I was prescribed a medicated mouthwash to help my mouth, and I should be back to ‘normal’ in a few days. Unfortunately, somewhere around Winter or Spring break, I’ll have to go have oral surgery on four wisdom teeth at once.

Moral of the story? I suppose everyone should be hyper-aware of the medications they’re taking.

Chain Email?

At first I thought it was spam, from the awful subject, but upon looking at the sender I realized that this was an acquaintance who must have acquired my email address somehow. In an angry rage, here, I dissect the components of this horrible email, and my blunt response. Continue reading ‘Chain Email?’
