Painting the Driveway

There’s a little tradition at Dover High School – graduating seniors can elect to paint a mural on the high school’s driveway. It’s a great way to leave a mark until it’s paved over sometime in the next year. With the help of a few friends, I painted what I consider to be an awesome driveway mural. I did it a few weeks back; in fact, I was up there the night before graduation.

Yes We Can!

That’s right, folks. With this post, I’m officially (on the blog) declaring my support for Barack Obama in the presidential election of 2008.

Ahmadinejad Address

There’s been a lot of talk this week about Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad‘s presence in the United States. I don’t usually do politics at Exposay, but I think everyone should hear what he had to say at Columbia, specifically relating to Iran’s nuclear advances and relations with the United States. Keep in mind the picture being painted of Iran in the media today, and similar instances of nation demoralizing in the past.

I have a metric ton of reading to do this summer for my AP courses coming up (European History, English, Biology, Calculus). However, I’ve been so busy that I haven’t really had the time to get through much of the work. Despite this setback, however, I’ve been brushing up on my political reading. It’s quasi-reading, really, since I’ve been listening to Audiobooks while driving to and from the Academy.

My selections thus far have been Al Gore‘s, The Assault on Reason, and Barack Obama‘s, The Audacity of Hope. The two works shouldn’t be treated as a single unit by any stretch of the imagination; although I’m grouping them in this post, they’re vastly different in purpose, content, and style.
